Prior joining the Bar in 2016, Kei Rui was an Inspector with Customs and Excise Department and a Court Prosecutor with Department of Justice.  He served pupillages under Peter Duncan SC, Richard Donald, Clement Lau and Alfred Cheng.

Kei Rui has conducted criminal trial and appeal as sole advocate.  He is also developing a broader practice in some areas of civil law, such as personal injuries, matrimonial and probate cases.
